PLATFORM GRADUATE AWARD EXHIBITION:
Project space, MK Gallery, MK9 3QA
(7th November - 30th November 2019)
Exhibition View, Hoard Re-imagined and Re-stacked, 2019
Ceramics, laminated photo print, wood
Images taken over the weeks the exhibition was on display.
I was able to spend full days in the project space, rearranging, re-configuring and responding to the installation.
Each week i held an interactive hour with visitors. I used this time to encourage the public to engage hand to hand with the sculptures.
Connections were formed when the visitors began to feel comfortable handling and rearranging the work. I guided them into an environment i had created that was both familiar and uncertain, i was able to ignite in them a child like instinct to explore.
The sculptures held life in the space; kept in flux, they moved through the contained landscape, communicating with each other and the humans that encountered them.
Connections and rearrangements documented from my Interactive Wednesdays:
Monoliths, wood, laminated photo print
Additional interactive sculptures that allow the viewer to build and connect the specimens featured in Hoard, 2019. Each tiled with detail of ceramic pieces. Made for Platform Exhibition.
